One of the scariest thing that can happen to a driver is a no brakes. Brake failure can happen without signs. You press down on the brake pedal to apply the brakes and the car is not stopping. The pedal sinks all the way to the floor and there is no compression.

When you are faced with this kind of situation, what do you do? Try to pump the brake pedal so fast. This could generate sufficient pressure to apply the brakes and halt the car. However there nothing happening, use the parking (emergency brake) brake as hard as you can. This should start to reduce your car immediately. However if the reaction is not quick enough and you are in danger of crashing into another car, you have to look for a way to swerve the car from the collision. Use your horn and try to maneuver your way around other car and or obstacles. Eventually the car will come to a stop. Pull over on one side of the road, turn off the engine, shift the transmission into Park or leave it in gear if it is a manual transmission. Then set the parking brake and seek the help of an auto technician. PLEASE DO NOT attempt to move your car until the problem that caused your brakes have been fixed
