Wife wants a SRX for her business and I was concerned about its weight and gas mileage and lack of a smaller engine choice.  

We looked at an Audi but friends said the reliability on them is terrible.

Luckily, she doesn't like the Mercedes GLK, it's gone from being "too plasticky" inside to looking too much like a Jeep, so that ones off the list (whew!).

I say "Honey, let's get a used Ford Explorer or Escape" and I just get "the look".

We may just take everyone's advice and "why do you even need to think, get a Lexus RX350" as it rules over sales quietness and reliability.
