only 3,000 miles and 3 trips to the shop.

Shocked Trip 1)check engine light and I needed a new part

Confused Trip 2)Check engine light and the computer needed to be recalibrated or something stupid like that

Mad Trip 3) Car shut down on the highway for no reason but was nice enough to tell me to pull the car over safely as fast as humaly possible.  The good news is it only needed to be rebooted like my computer to get going again but needed a nother part.

Just don't buy a Ford, especially a Fusion Hybrid

I Purchased a 2010 Ford Fusion in November of 2009 after driving it for seven months (8,000) miles, I started feeling a jerking when I excelerate like the car had problems shifting gears. I returned it and demanded a new car. Ford refinanced another new fusion for me hopfully I won't have any problems out of this one.  Good luck future buyers.

What did you have to say to them to get the new car?  Did you deal with your dealer or with Ford directly?

Two more trips to the shop since the post.  They have no clue what is wrong with this piece of garbage.

Why do you like this car? What particular attracts you?

Almost everything I've read about the Fusion Hybrid sounds impressive. Way back when somebody having problems with a Ford wouldn't have surprised me, while today it does.  Since I don't believe Camry's have unintended acceleration problems, I wonder if the less attractive Camry Hybrid is still the way to go?

Why have I asked this question is because I have heard a of of people who own Fords have many problems with those cars.

I have had my 2010 Fusion Hybrid for a year now.  I racked up 15,000 miles in Dallas traffic.  I do not drive in the right lane.  I'm out in the left lane with the non-hybrids.  It's been back to the dealer twice.   For oil changes and for tire rotation.  35mpg with a heavy foot and not one single thing to complain about.  The kicker is the Sony Sound System.  It amazes all passengers.  Its better than most home systems.  I'm a keeper so far.

I also own a 1995 F-150 with 330,00 miles.  Still has all original engine, A/C, radiator, and paint.  Original, unopened transmission still shifts smooth.   So I'm wondering, what more would it take to qualify as "reliable"? Ooo

It seems to be a pretty lovely car. I really like them, and my spouse and I are considering one ourselves. We have not driven one yet, but will let you know if we do. From what I have study it seems to get about the best fuel mileage and seems to be the most useful car of the hybrids. That is just my viewpoint though. I am type of a ford guy though.
