Does anyone have any experience with the 4cyl equinox (2010).. first off, how is its power compared to the 6 cyl?
I have a 1999 grandprix gt 6cyl, love its power..
Was contemplating either of these Equinoxes..
But, i have a bike rack and hitch on my current car.. hitch + rack (no bikes), not much difference in MPG..
Wondering how it will be on the equinox 4 or 6 cylinder.. if i load it with 4 bikes, 2 full size, 2 smaller for now.. will it chug slowly up hills.. or be fairly "normal".
Would i eventually be able to pull a small waverunner? I've seen the hitches via uhaul, they list class 2 or 3 and 3500lbs max weight (seems like too much weight for the 4).
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I've had more time in the 4 than the 6; 6 is obviously a little more powerful, but I thought the 4 was well-suited to the 'Nox (not to mention the obvious fuel economy benefits).
I doubt you'll see much difference on hills with the rack and bikes. Waverunner, however, I'm not sure of.
Trailering, however, may be a little different. You're right about the 3500 lbs max being too much for the I-4 -- with either the 3.23 or 3.53 axle ratios, the I-4 Equinox is only rated for a maximum trailer weight of 1500 lbs. The 3500 lb figure is for the V-6 models.
Still, for a single jet ski, you ***may*** be okay...

First of all, you should check what your towing needs really are...I had a Waverunner and it was only about 700 LBS...You are talking a pretty good sized boat at 3500 LBS...For example an 18 foot Inboard/Outboard is typically under 2000 LBS...
