Hello all,
Im new to this forum and I want to say thanks in advanced.
2001 Cavalier. While in Drive and moving. The " trac off" Light will come on and car will not shift and or shifts hard. I can stop, put it in park, turn off ignition and restart. The light then goes off and when I put it in Drive it makes a loud bang. This repeats its self at diferent times.

I must add that when I had Advanced Auto put it on the computer. It said that the Tourge Converter Circut is stay on.

Sounds like an issue of the torque converter locking and unlocking at the wrong times.
My guess is you're looking at a transmission teardown/rebuild.
