The taxpayers currently own 61% of GM. That means that we own 61% of Pontiac and the plant facilities that are dormant. Savingpontiac.org believes that if the taxpayers demand that the brand and facilities to support it are divested to entrepreneurs for the benefit of Americans and the employees of such a New Pontiac.
Pontiac, volume sales, is equal to BMW of North America. Are they closing down? Nope. We estimate that Pontiac represents between 20,000 and 40,000 jobs in America; NOW! Why throw this away? Why have dormant plants? We have given the same people who ruined a company worth $56 billion, another $50 billion in taxpayer money to never pay back the American public. We believe that Pontiac can be saved and create $40 Billion in benefit to America with a $3 Billion loan.

Meh now that Pontiac is history GM has 1 less division to do their rebadge jobs with. I know they had the G8 all to themselves, they can always rebadge it now as a Chevy or whatever other line they choose. My guess is they'll deep 6 it though.
