Hi,

my daughters car, a 1995 Mercury Mystique, 4 cyl. has a hesitation
when you depress the accelerator pedal.

I have changed the plugs/wires/battery(it was DOA)and the ignition
coil.

These changes have made a marked improvement, though not completely
squared away.

Any help with ideas as to a solution would be very welcomed, a sensor
perhaps or something along that line.

Are any check engine or service engine lights/telltales illuminated in the instrument cluster?  

I'd look into the injection system and throttle body conditions.
