What do you think future car's interior will look like? full of fancy gadgets that keep you awake during longs hours and entertain you?
actually I am especially wandering what they will do with the seats... I mean there has not been any major thing lately and we cannot even press a button and make the seats slide outside to make it easier to sit down for old people... any guesses bout that?
cheers, dan

The Chevy Volt has a fresh interior that reminds me of Macintosh computers: clean, smooth, efficient, and high-tech.

Actually, such seats are quite common in Japan, where automakers themselves take an active approach towards developing, manufacturing, and selling accessible vehicles on their own. It's quite a contrast to here in the U.S, where independent upfitters are responsible for the design, fabrication, and installation of such aids. At most, an OEM will offer an incentive towards the purchase of such equipment, but that's about it.
A few examples:
Subaru Legacy Transcare

Honda Odyssey Welfare
