So, the Hyundai Genesis is rear-wheel drive, available with a strong V-8, and offers a ton of luxury options. Most importantly, it's dirt cheap for what you get. Would you buy one?

I actually saw one of these one my way to work today. It looks pretty nice and I think I'd consider it in my new car purchase. The only thing I'm unsure of is the rear end. It looks ok, but I've seen better.

Looks good, but the concept of a spongey, luxury Hyundai is a little jarring.
Makes the G8 GT look like a bargain?

Considering the overall car market right now, the Genesis is selling rather briskly, and North American Car of the Year sure doesn't hurt. Not my particular bag, but for someone in the market for a large luxury sedan, seems like a pretty compelling buy.

If you want a cheaper Lexus, the Genesis is a great car. Drivers looking for sporty handling will still want a BMW 5-series or a Jaguar XF if they can tolerate the inevitable malfunctions.
