Yes, but how long will cheap fuel last?
Until the greedy oil mongers can figure out how to circumvent the effect of a global economic downturn...or failing that, the economy rebounds.
The real downside of these cheap prices is what it will do to the progress of alternative powerplants and technologies. Frankly, I'd like to see cars like the Tesla succeed, especially at the expense of all those oil companies and those sheiks that get all filthy stinkin' rich off of the rest of us.

it needs to go even lower please! when i started driving it was 99 cents a gallon...and this was in the 90s...not the 50s!

Before November, I had never known gas cheaper than $2.00 - I started driving in 2005. I'm pretty happy with current oil prices. =)
