So, is the new VW CC a winner? Do you want one? Will hardcore VW guys take a look at this inexpensive Mercedes CLS?

I read the review on the Volkswagen CC, and it looks like a definite improvement on our current Passat.  But even if I could afford one right now, I wouldn't buy one.  There are much more exciting cars out there for the money.  I really wish VW would give up their quest to push their vehicles upmarket (they have Audi for that) and embrace their traditional role of being the inexpensive German car company.  If VW really wants to expand their sales in America, they'll wake up and send us the Scirocco.

Styling-wise, I think the CC is nice-looking. However, considering my previous experience with a VW, I'd never buy one. Supposedly VW has improved quality, but I'm still not a believer.

As with the Jetta and some of its other models, it will appeal to customers that want to convey class and Euro style, without having to pay Mercedes or BMW-level prices. Me? I'll take reliability over Euro-snobbery any day.

My guess is yes they will.  If it contains the suspension adjustment feature controlled within the cabin, this may be feature that sways them.  For me, I have an 06 3.6 4Motion w/ Pack #2 and I'm still happy with it.  Still will place a grin on my face when I ask her to.  Matter of fact, like the Passat so much, replacing the Mrs. 03 Audi Allroad (loaded) with an 08 Passat Lux Wagon tomorrow.  Unfortunately, the bloody 09 wagons don't have the options like the 08 lux trim level does.  Funny how this happened.  Mistake on VW's part.  These 08 Lux wagons are hard to find (pre-owned).  They go real quick!  Passat & Tourag buyers are looking for tech, comfort, safety, performance, mpg, and basically an upscale vehicle at a lower price than the competition.  Everything is really there.  VW has the jump on the wagons but they need to offer more than one trim level as well as the ability to add options the North America market desires.  Potential buyers of these two models will navigate toward those vehicles that have them.
