I have a 2003 Infinity G35, purchased new, that has had two seat mechanisms replaced while it was under warranty.  Those repairs started with a grinding noise as a warning that something was wrong.  This week, the right track won't move forward at all, and since my husband drives with it almost all the way back and I drive it with the seat much further forward, we have a problem!  He disassembled the mechanism and found a less than one-inch nylon gear stripped.  Infinity wants to replace the whole motor and everything for $1500.00!  Anyone else have similar issues?  Any sources for the part?

I have the 2003 Infinity FX.  My seat is doing the same thing - it's not totally shot yet, but probably soon.
