:Ezra Dyer - You rock!!!  Thanks for validating my argument with friends that thought my wife and I were crazy to buy a 2005 Jaguar XK8 for our retirement.  We plan to travel the entire USA in that Jag.  Everyone looked at us as if we had lost our minds. "Why don't you just rent one of those motorhomes, and travel that way, they said?" "Why on earth would I want to pay for: a) the gas to fill and run one of those behemoths, and b) the ride is horrible."  My Jag gets 30 mpg on the highway, all of our luggage fits in the trunk, and seeing the USA in a beautiful, comfortable convertible outweighs having a toilet at our "disposal" any day. The Jag will be paid off by the time we retire so we'll be able to afford sleeping in a comfortable hotel when we get to all of our destinations.  Thanks again for your article, I plan to share it with all of our naive motorhome-loving friends.
