I read of all of the monetary exchange problems making it too pricey to import the hot Euro Fords of now and the future. But VW is making most of its U.S. imports in Puebla, Mexico. Why not make the hot Euro Fords in either the U.S. (since it isn't as pricey now to make cars here) and in Mexico, but get the features and quality up to Euro par-quality? Even the Euro-type Focuswould be a better bet than what crap they're selling now, e.g. new Ford F**kus!

Not a bad idea, but I think it's because the regulations don't meet US standards. They would have to completely redesign everything. The next Ford Taurus looks to have the Mondeo's styling blended with our safety requirements. It seems they're doing everything they can in the meantime... The Next gen Focus we'll get as well as the Verve/Fiesta!
