I just purchased an 06 gmc seirra. I have owned silverados for the last ten years and understood that I was upgrading this time to a gmc. When I was washing the underbody I was amazed to see the paint blowing off in the front wheel wells, as I continued to wash I took the wand and washed the frame and the paint was blowing off the frame as well. Even the big white sticker on the hydro frame washed right off. It has been a bad winter in Kansas City. But being a new truck owner I am hyper senitive to dirt so I wash it regularly. (keeping the salt off) I never had this problem with the silverados in the past even after four and five winters. I have purchased a lift kit for the truck and when it is up this will be more noticable. I am wondering did gm start skimpimg somewhere ?

Is it a GM Product? Of course they started skimping.
GM = General Mismanagement
You could design the best truck in the world, but if you can't execute your design - you're screwed. This is what happens when bean counters run too much of the show. Accounting is the devil's handiwork.
