Well, at least I got some attention with the subject line...Even if a majority are saying "yeah, right". With the same powerplant and comparable brakes and suspension in all but the most pressing situations maybe the performance level of the RS4 does favorably approach the R8.  of course it falls short due to size, weight, weight distribution, and aerodynamics.  Still, at a savings approaching half it would seem to be very close in performance all things considered, and it is nice to have a back seat and big trunk.  I love the cutting edge style and technology of the R8, it will gain Audi immeasurable clout, but the RS4 is truly a wolf in sheep's clothing...maybe even somewhat of a bargain amoung uber autos.  Opinions?

I'm a BIG Audi fan (A6, S6, A8 & S8)!I think that the RS4 is a great car, too. i'm 6'5" tall and 220 lbs. That is the only reason why the A4 isn't on my short list. I've been amased at how many want to compare the A4 to a VW Passat 4-Motion. If money is the issue the S6is a great selection. What's your thoughts?
