At a visit to the Petersen Auto Museum in L.A. about 15 years ago(1985) I remember seeing a 1930's rusted Chrysler with an IC engine and an electric motor drive on display, an early hybrid not mentioned in the recent automobilemag feature "A History of Hybrid Vehicles". What was so striking was the group of Japanese auto engineers crawling all around it and taking lots of notes. Has anyone else seen this old vehicle display around the time I did?
