I was doing some research on the BMW 1 Series and stumbled upon an article on Wikipedia (not the most reliable source.. i know, which is why I'm here asking for your opinion) stating that:
"The 1 Series is effectively the first in the world to have mild hybrid technology as standard equipment, although BMW is careful in its marketing not to label it as a hybrid vehicle."

Doubt it. BMW is more into hydrogen and if they were going to try and save gas they'd try new technolodgy on the sedans. The 1 series looks a beast and I'm considering trading my Golf GTI for one!
