Seeking additional info on a lock failure condition.
Vehicle locked with key. No Remotes, client bought vehicle less remotes, USED.
Vehicle will not open by key. Made new keys by code... still not operable
Attempted to locate a slumped over cam on latch assembly, but can not.
No secondary way in with key.
Is this a common malfunction, along with the ignition lock disaster these are known for? 480.00 Ign Lock, low reliability. NO aftermarket IMPROVED ignition switch ?
We will defer to dealer, as to which window to blow out, if no bypass method can be accomplished.
We are orderign a tool that claims to revocer from this "superlock" condition, but it may only work on a FUNCTIONING vehicle, locked with remote.

I would think that if the key doesn't even turn,it is the lock(tumblers).I went out and tested my Discovery under your conditions, and it always opened but sounded the alarm, even with superlock.I think it might be the doorhandle, not the alarm system. If you cut the battery cable(neg)you disarm it.PS,the little windows up top will cost $400 to replace;just peel off the weatherstripping instead, they pop right out.
