I have been wanting an Infiniti G35 for a loooonnnnggg time. The time has finally come and will be ready to purchase one in October. I currently drive a 2000 Honda Accord. My husband and I took a trip in my car this week and we had to stop at least every hour due to my husband's lower back pain. Anytime he drives my car for 20-30 minutes at a time, his back really starts hurting. My question is...........how comfortable is the driver's seat of the Infiniti G35? Does anyone personally have lower back problems and drive an Infiniti G35? I'm also trying to decide between a Coupe and a Sedan. I can probably guess a Couple will be out of the question for my husband.

To mommatee, I have had several surgerys on my back and I am in pain management. I have a G35 coupe and I find the seats to be very comfortable. However, the best seats I have sat in have to be from volvo and audi. If you read the G37 vs 335i comparo on this website, the writer states that the G37 has french stiching down the middle of the seat back that was chaffing the drivers spine. BTW, the seats in the sedan and coupe are the same. I hope that helps..

Recently tested the new G35 and was VERY impressed with the seats. Good bolsters. Nice leather. Great supportive shape.
I'm a mid-30s guy who inherited my Dad's low back issues and I could've gone cross country in the Infiniti.
However, depends on what kind of seats make your husband comfortable. Good Lumbar, Soft materials, with aggressive side bolsters makes me happy. My dad... Stiff as a board seats, no bolsters, and a HARD lumbar. Depends on "where it hurts" so to speak.
But across the board, couldn't recommend the G35 more.
Full Review coming soon.

to momatee, I have degenerative disc disease, have had 3 spinal fusion surguries, and live on a steady diet of pain pills. I feel your husband's pain, both figuratively and literally. My advice would be to rent a G35 for a day and drive it as much as possible. I will not even consider a car without driving it for several hours first. Unfortunately, Dealers expect you to take a 5 minute test drive. Ask your local dealer if one is available to rent.
