RL Hybrid?

Wouldn't it be great if Acura had an upgrade option on their RL to make it a Hybrid?

Seems to me that this would address the HP/torque concerns when comparing this vehicle to others in it's class.  By adding an IMA,  similar to that in the Honda Accord, wouldn't  it raise the HP to around 320 and greatly improve torque at a lower rpm?

As a new owner of a (used) RL AND an Accord hybrid, I would love a RL hybrid. Reports though indicated that Honda's considering offering hybrid models of its smaller vehicles (Fit, Civic) only. Larger vehicles will, instead, get the (clean) diesel treatment which addresses the issue as well (high torque AND decent gas mileage).

Diesel?  Sounds even better than hybrid, unless the hybrid could be a plug-in.  I hope we hear more about this soon.

That will be cool! But there are some news that Hybrid Cars have low Engine power... If that is true, I hope they'll not sacrifice the cars performance.

Yeah, I think it would be great if Acura produces a hybrid line.

Honda is going to be bringing a diesel Accord to the market sometime next year and will be following that intro with diesel power for their six cylinder truck and van .

I agree. Honda is ALL about engines. When they do a diesel (or hydrogen) car, it will be done right.
