My 2006 Civic has turned into a mouse house.  What can I say.  The inside of the car stinks. Dealer and Honda USA say it is my problem......

I had a similar problem with a 03 Toyota Corolla. I bought it brand new and almost immediatley started noticing a horrible stench. After many trips to the dealer and many "air freshner" spritz', I was finally told that it was due to the car burning clean and the smell I was getting in the car was the sulphur from the car's emission.
It was a problem for a few months but then it just went away.

So, give it time and maybe the smell will disappear.

A friend of mine had the same problem with his 2005 Audi A4, but the stench didn't go away after a few months so he ended up selling it. So I suggest that you also sell yours and buy a new one. I can also advise you to join Honda Civic Group Buying to get a good discount.
