We check out the dealerships down here in Fredericksburg after our Sunday breakfast just as something to do.
You never know what the dealerships might have new.

New Ford Super Duty One Ton Truck.
Awesome Front End styling.
Directly taken from the Show Truck that Toby Keith, the country music star used in one of his video's.
ALOT of people around these trucks and they are going off Ford lots fast.

Ford Edge-in orange-high end trim model-MAN this thing has POP!
It just begs to be bought.
Several have disaappeared of their lot already.

Ford Fusion-very nice car-even in the lower trim versions-we're seeing more of these going off the lot-sales down here increasing.

F-150 trucks-good deals in the lower and mid-priced trim levels and room to bargain there still-as always(and Lucky for Ford)these are still rolling off the lots.

Seeing more of the hatchback Focus's-a model never really pushed by Ford but ironically a great car to get the Toyota Corolla buyer in the Ford lot.

Price these things right and the guy looking for a first car for his kid or a second car for his family will buy-just work on the gas mileage a little.

So it's not all gloom and doom, and it really never was.
Ford still makes some great looking products that have mass appeal.

I agree with you 100%

The Fusion is a very good looking car inside and out. The Edge is as well, especially in orange. And don't forget the Mustang! I wish I could trade in mine for a new GT...

I also like the Interceptor concept a lot--it really fits into Ford's "BOLD" Moves campaign. There is no denying it is one menacing car.

I think they need to replace the Focus though. It was a very different car when it came out, but it's a bit of an eyesore now. I think if they take some styling cues from the Fusion and apply 'em to a new hatchback they'll have a great car to attract some young buyers.

A follow-up to my own post, I think American buyers would really love the new Mondeo (Mk IV). Granted, it would be in the same class as the Fusion, but it is one sharp looking car. It's too bad we'll probably never see it.

ford should bring the mondeo over here asap and call it the maverick, or squeeze it into the mercury lineup as the comet. They should have made the Thunderbird better to compete with the sky/solstice/miata. ditch the taurus X, make the Flex quicker to replace it and change its name back to Fairlane. Build the interceptor with a new front end and name it Galaxy and offer a cop car package for it. And across the whole company come up with nicer looking radio controls instead of those cheap looking cookie cutter rectangles they cram into everything, even Lincolns. and some blue instrument lighting would be nice. green is out, blue is in, or maybe be the first to offer a choice...

"maybe be the first to offer a choice..."

One of the options on the Mustang is the Interior Upgrade Package ($460), which includes among other things, Ford's "MyColor" system, which allows you to change the color of the instrument cluster. 125 colors are available. I'm not sure if this is available on any other Ford model, but if it isn't, it should be.

I've enjoyed a Fusion before.  Perhaps I should have bought the car I drove, as a SEL with a 4 cylinder 5 speed combo and sunroof is decidedly rare.

The big thing that I don't care for about the latest Ford lineup is the '08 Focus.  The sedan isn't too bad, but the coupe is nasty, no other word for it.

Man oh man did they just DESTROY the outside styling of the Focus.

Really, really sad as they had just put a better looking grill and different stance on the old Focus and I was hoping Ford would try to hit a home run with the new Focus.

This car looks exactly like the bean counters at Ford said,"O.K.,we've let you spend the necessary money to put good mechanicals in it,make the outside of the car as cheap as possible."

Really,really,really disappointing.

Did the Ford designers get their inspiration from Gillette Fusion Razor blades? The three massive chrom blades are just ugly and annoying.
