Read senior editor Joe Lorio's blog. Do you agree?

Where's the beef? Can't FoMoCo do better than slathering some chrome and adding a old name plate to 1 of their machines? If the question posed was do you agree models like this are why FoMoCo is struggling now? I'm afraid I'd have to agree. That and relying too much on their trucks while ignoring the car biz has set them up for disaster. When I hear the name "Taurus" anyhow, I can't say it brings the same kind of excitement as the old "T-Bird" name. It's too bad Ford blew that last T-Bird remake too. I understand why that went down the tubes, I liked to look at it none the less ![]()

They should seriously consider revamping that thunderbird now to compete with the Sky/Solstice/Miata and possibly the next Dodge Demon and Chevy Stingray...

I understand what Ford was trying to accomplish, I just don't understand who actually thought it would help sell cars. There's a reason the Taurus was nicknamed the Tortoise, and there's no reason Ford should carry that curse to a better car!

They should bring the Mondeo over here ASAP and market it as a true sport sedan in a class above the Fusion to compete with the next Hyundai Genesis, The VW GLI, Suburu WRX, Mitsu Lancer EVO, Mazdaspeed6, ect.

The Interceptor concept should be the next Crown Vic or replacement for it called the Galaxy, and offer a cop car package of course. The Fairlane should replace the Taurus X and offer a pickup configuration called Ranchero. Just think, the first Crossover pickup-car thats actually functional as it is practical and fuel efficient.
