I'd like to see some more wagon comparisons. With the invention of the crossover and the SUV, real wagons are dying, lets keep 'em alive.

I would also like to see more wagon coverage but what can you do.  Is there a domestic wagon still available?  The Ford Freestyle is about the closest thing to an American wagon you can buy now.  I think the domestic manufacturers erred when they dropped their wagons  They offered more performance, better handling, better styling and better economy than the vans do.  I tried to purchase a Freestyle last year while the companies were pushing their employee discount sales.  The manufacturers might have reduced the prices but the dealers overcame the price reductions by reducing trade-in allowances.  I have since purchased a Chrysler Town & Country van but the gas mileage is pitiful; especially with the price of gas where it is.  Also the price of gas may never come down again.  We need a 30mpg station wagon.  Are you listening, Ford?

NOT TRUE.

Station wagons are still alive and well.

Ford used to make a Focus station wagon that was very usable and a great value.

VW makes a great looking Passat wagon especially the model with the large alloy wheels.

Audi makes a great looking wagon too.

Subaru SURVIVES on the wagons they sell as SUV's.

Volvo still makes one of the best station wagons in the world.

And for the rich people,Mercedes makes a great looking wagon as well.

With all the SUV nonsense going around, great staion wagon designs still stand tall as car that don't need redesigns to sell.
