Many of the domestic cars: Pontiac G6, the Mercury Milan/Lincoln Zephyr, and the Pontiac Solstice. Like a few imports: the Honda Accord and Civic coupes; virtually all the new Lexi; and the Mazda CX-7. Why? They look good to me

A Honda Odyssey is also exactly what it wants to be. That doesn't make it my favorite.

J, you should know that such a question is nearly impossible for a journalist to answer. There are so many factors involved. I think the Audi R8 is the most beautiful car to come out this year. You know I also love the Audi RS4 and of course, that sexy seven-passenger jet engine out in the parking garage right now--the Mercedes E63 AMG wagon. Aah don't get me thinking about that car again I won't get any work done.

I don't particularly like any of the brand new cars on the market now. They're either styled wrong, guzzle too much gas, priced wrong or they don't excite me enough to get really interested in them. The upcoming VW Scirroco, if it gets built, would be my choice though for my future favorite car. Why? Well, the Scirroco is going to be based on the new VW GTI, I suppose, which is already favored by car magazines like Automobile. Being sportier looking and maybe faster because it might be lighter, makes it a GT car that will have all the right moves.
