Forecasters predict that Ford PAG (Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volvo) might finally turn a profit in 2007. What do you think? And should Ford still sell pieces of it off to the highest bidder?

If PAG is really going to start being profitable, then Ford should include these brands in their restructuring plans. Otherwise, sell them off.

If your making money-good money that can be refunneled into Ford's dying main company don't sell them.

If Ford has to keep dumping cash in to keep say Land Rover afloat-sell it.

I believe Ford is selling Aston Martin.

PAG is bringing in profits because of Volvo.  Land Rover, Aston, and Jag arn't the reason.  Now if Land Rover could build a vehicle interior that 5 years later would still have all it's bits and peices, perhaps they'd be doing better.  I just test drove a '03 Disco, and the thing was abysmal.  Loose switch gear, cheap plastics, and that lovely smell of burning oil from the valve cover leak.  I was shocked it was only 3 years old.
