Pictures have surfaced of the upcoming 2008 Chrysler minivans, and they are full of more fun ideas than ever, including swiveling chairs and a table. But unfortunately, they're ugly in a Sebring sort of way.

First impressions have always been a big deal to me and the '08 Town and Country is just, alas, a minivan. It's not an offensive car, in fact I like the front end and the image of purpose that seems to go along with it, but what's wrong with the T&C is its lack of risk in style. It's approach, of efficiency over style, may have worked (and has) in the past, but now with more stylish vans from Japan I just don't see this car challenging the Odyssey and the Sienna. But I still think Chrysler will sell enough of these cars so that it doesn't follow Ford's fate with the Freestar.
