Good Morning. My prob is that the cv boots on my '91 S10 4WD tend to touch the shocks. I contacted a body shop about moving the lower shock mount away from the cv joint which they said would not cause probs as long as the control arm didn't contact the shock while in motion, however they kept insisting that I go back to oem shocks. I contacted the local dealer where I was told that the oem shock was not a slender shock and cost around two hundred dollars each. What do I do? I can't believe I'm the only S10 owner who has this prob. The suspension geometry is totally stock (checked by the dealer)

I have a hard question for you guys.  Does anyone know how to get in touch with Rick Wagoner, the CEO of GM?  I was a rabid Chevy fan, especially of the Monte Carlo, but since I was hit head on by a drunk driver in my '05 Malibu and my airbag didn't work, resulting in a crushed jaw and knocking out most of my lower teeth, I think that might be the last Chevy I own.  I've been trying to reach Mr. Wagoner, and been ignored for the most part by GM. Any help would be great.

If you had a choice between a 1995 Jaguar XJR and a 1995 BMW M3 (clone) both in same condition and miles which one would you choose...mainly I want something nice, reliable, and, of course, FAST. Any advice you could give would really help me out.

May I suggest that if you want something reliable, you reconsider your choices. Niether of the above mentioned vehicals are known for reliablity. You might want to check out Consumer Reports for yourself, and see the experiance that their readers have shared with owning these cars and the troubles that they have had. Just a thought.

I've done a share of world travel and I'm perplexed the variety of gasoline octane ratings. I'm especially curious why the US octane ratings generally top out about 92-93 while in Europe or Australia you get premium gasoline with 97-100 octane.

Questions:
1) Why are US octane offerings generally low when compared to other developed countries?
2) Is octane boosted by a prohibitively expensive additive?
3) Does higher octane fuel generate higher pollution than lower octane fuel, making it a political issue?

I could ask a million more but I'll shut up and listen!

have you heard of or tried the gas saver plus product to get better gas savings?  I hear this product is being tested by several large counties in WA state.  The address is http://www.gassaverpro.com they said they have many tests completed with 3-6 MPG in increased mileage plus get more horse power.  what do you think ?

I'm skeptical. As painful as it sounds, if you want to save gas, just ease up on that right foot.

I purchased a Jim Conforti Shark injector kit and the air intake kit for my 2001 BMW E46 330ci. I am having my check engine light come on about every other day with an engine fault code of O2 sensor fault. I have had my car put through a full sensor diagnostics at a certified shop with all checking out functional. I have also replaced the two front O2 sensors that are giving the fault codes. I am at a lost here and need some expert advice. The questions that I have are(1) did I install something wrong (i.e. air intake), (2) is there a OEM part for the MAF sensor that I need to replace the factory MAF? If you can think of anything else please forward. Thx

Nice, extensive review on the Toyota FJ in 07/07 issue. I noted that the FJ would haul a 3000 pound trailer with ease, but there was no remark on what that did to the real-world 18mpg fuel economy. Anyone?

Lord, would this set-up be nice with a torquey diesel.

I have a 2000 Pontiac GP GT (2 door) that appears to have sprung a leak on the passenger floor board...  Any ideas where the water may have come from?  We recently had heavy rains, but I don't think the car should leak from the bottom up.  My AC doesn't work, and hasn't for a while, so I don't think that's it.  Also, couldn't find water anywhere other than directly on the floorboard (it didn't run down through the door seal, the dashboard or the firewall that I can tell).  The car wasn't driven for 3 winters, so doesn't have excessive rust on the underside.  Any suggestions would be a big help in where to start looking and how to plug a leak.

Yea,it's either your heater core that's leaking or your air conditioner vent hose leaking water-both from under your dash right behind your glove box.

If it's your heater core the water will smeel like coolant and may stain your carpet,if it's your ac unit,it should only leak when your ac's on.

To the air bag case-
Your looking for a lawsuit settlement.
No CEO in the world will talk to you.
You need a lawyer that will take your case but I believe in other posts you've posted here you said that the local GM reps came down and removed the computer recording unit from your car.
No unit-no case-pretty much.
Sorry for your injuries-the drunk driver needs to restitute you in full.
