I am having trouble finding the right car. My price range is 20,000-35,000 dollars. I am looking for a sport coupe or a sporty looking suv.

The BMW 328i coupe and Infiniti G35 (a new coupe is coming next fall if you want to wait) would be at the top of my list. Both are pretty tough to beat in that category. If you want to spend less, I'd consider a GTI or the new Volvo C30.

If I were looking for a "sport coupe" in that range, it is arguable that I would find that there really isn't much to choose from frankly. There are the usual suspects like the G35 but, to me, that car is somewhat of a gimmick (what with its "tuned" exhaust designed to emit a bit of pimped noise that only teenagers could find amusing) that, in my view, is not really a sport coupe. The new 3 coupe is better, but I think it has taken a drastic step in the wrong design direction. What I would then find is that I'm left with the 350Z, a Mustang, and an RSX. My bet would be, surprisingly, on the RSX (for superb engineering, overall practicality, price, good performance, and gas mileage).
For a sporty suv in this price range, its also not looking that good as overweight family haulers are the ones that RULE this market price. However, if instead I'd settle for an SUV that at least looks sporty, I'd consider a Nissan Murano first, and then if I'm willing to save up, a VW Touareg.
*I, however, would buy a wagon. I'd buy the superb Audi A4 Avant. What a superb vehicle. You don't need a faux sport coupe when you could have the real thing in a great wagon that is so sleek, it could arguably pass for a sport coupe. In addition, your understated elegance will spur your fellow drivers to not mistake you for a wannabe in a noisy "tuned" coupe.

wow, i think the G35 sounds great. i don't enjoy tuner exhausts on other cars at all, but when i hear a G35, or really any of the cars with the 3.5 6 cylinder that Nissan uses, i just stop and listen.

L.A.M.E! who needs a lame "Pimp" exhaust when the muffler music in the mustang kicks. I would go for a spoilerless GT with V8 power and Tail out fun with some Mods you can tune this pony the way you want like A scion. I also agree with carletti a S4 avant would kick "pimp" civic Butt and be uderstatedly elagent plus it's AWD so you can always be safe.

I'd Go with a 2002 camaro z28 5.7 L 330 hp. Around there, get borla exhaust the best in the game. That would be a nice car. A real Head turner. It is sporty and T-tops. Cheak it out!!!! have any questions email me
