2007 Mercedes Benz S420 CDI Diesel to U.S.?

Mercedes-Benz teased us yesterday, sending a press release for a new diesel-powered S-class. Is it really coming? No. . . after reading the release, it was obvious that the car is Europe only. A shame, isn't it? On a recent trip, they told us it this bigger engine wouldn't be in the U.S.-spec GL because of price. Isn't the S expensive enough to get away with this?
