Cadillac has announced these luxurious Platinum editions of three of their vehicles. Do you think they'll help Caddy compete with the Germans?

I'm sure we'll be seeing some platinum editions rollin' on dubs on MTV cribs in the next few months.  Oh, and no, personally I think people who are attracted to the platinum edition caddys are generally not the same people who buy german cars.
