A Four-Door Mustang?

As a Mustang driver, I cringe at the thought of a 4 door 'Stang (as do most owners I suspect). Call it anything else but the Mustang!

I thought they only meant that they'll use the platform of the current mustang, stretch it to allow for a RWD four-door sedan, not add two more doors to the current car. Isn't the Interceptor concept what they showed us to get public attention for such a car. The 300 was a huge success for Chrysler, so why not. Just graft the front end of the Flex thats due out next year to the Interceptor concept and name it Galaxy, and BOOM, there's your "4-Door Mustang" gangster style.

yeah, and they could either use it as the next crown vic, which is possibly the ugliest car ever, or replace it and name it the Ford Galaxy. That would make for some awsome cop car by the way. They could also use a Lincoln version of it and name it Continental with a retractable hardtop and 4 suicide doors. Beat Chrysler to the punch before they roll out with their 4-door convertible 300. I'd like to see any foreign auto-maker try that. There's some All-American competition for ya

Once again Ford DOESN'T have a better idea. Does anyone remember the huge success of the four-door Thunderbird? About as meaningful as the bench seat option in the '66 Mustang. I suppose they will also call it a four-door coupe.
I can't wait to hear the justification for wood cladding on the Flex 'Retro Edition'.
