Click here for my Blog about the Passat R36.
Am I totally off-base here? Or should the R36 be more than just an appearance package?
And, oh, by the way, has anyone heard the 3.6-liter VR6's exhaust from behind the car? If I tell you you won't believe how awesome it sounds, you won't believe ***
My mental image of an R36 would have that, opened right and pissed-off. Not just the same exhaust - lovely as it is - with chrome tips.

No, you're totally right. It's pretty silly that they take the time to make the Passat finally look half-way aggressive and didn't back it up with stiffer suspension. VW wants to brag about this being the quickest car they've ever made? Well then make a complete package, not just a straight-line machine.
Oh, and bring it here either way.
