Audi has been teasing us with the R8 (formerly known as the Le Mans concept) for some time now, but the wait is finally over! To do so, they've taken a perfectly decent Lamborghini Gallardo and made it even more beautiful. Is this a bad move for the VW group, much like the VW Phaeton fighting against its Audi A8 twin? We don't think so. There's always room for another mega-expensive, mega-powerful supercoupe.  

After going to the show and seeing the R8 in person, I think it's maybe the greatest looking car on the market. It's so low, so wide, and Audi's corporate grille has never seemed quite so at-home. The engine bay is beautiful, and apparently Audi knows this--they actually offer lighting so that everyone around you can see your engine glowing as you drive at night! It's genious!
