I have some very strange criteria in shopping for a car due my sport.
I must be able to carry an object 70" long x 1' x 1'.
This means either a wagon or a folding rear seat.

other than that, I am looking for a used car in the $15- $20 range, sporting in nature but still slightly upscale.

What would you look at?  I've already sworn off Saab after my last experiance.

Subaru WRX sportwagon would fill the bill.

The WRX is a good choice, but I would upgrade to the Legacy. Larger, more comfortable, and the GT is plenty fun and very fast.
