What is your price range? What size SUV would you need?

The VW and Porsche are both lovely vehicles, but they're also REALLY heavy (and the new Audi Q7 for that matter). If you want a lighter, more agile ride, look at the Infinti FX35/45 or the Cadillac SRX V8 (stay away fromt the V6, it's slow.) The upcoming Acura MDX also promises to be a good performer. But the real question is whether you really need a sport-ute at all? The Mercedes E63 AMG wagon is a downright rocket, and the Subaru Legacy GT is relatively cheap, quite fast, spacious, and has all-wheel drive (it's also been an Automobile Magazine all-star for the past couple years, unlike the rest of these vehicles.) The Audi S4 wagon is another great example of sport, utility, and all-wheel-drive surefootedness. Think about it. So you really need a sport-ute?

Three good choices should fit the bill:
1. Infinity FX45 or FX35 2. Acura MDX 3. BMW X5
